Shae is a sweet, sensitive and calm puppy. She is also the star of her puppy kindergarten class. What I enjoy most about Shae is the way she loves my teenage children and the sense of fun and happiness she brings them. Lisa has done a wonderful job raising the puppies and the mother Bella and her lovely personality convinced us to make the commitment to another dog.

Isaac (formerly known as Angus) is 15 weeks old and has been home with me for 5 weeks. He is pure delight...lots of energy, intelligence and love. His Irish Wolfhound sister, Cara, is not quite as enthusiastic as me but is sooooo very tolerant of his antics. He is a bold little fellow who greets people (large and small) and other animals with enthusiasm. Isaac adjusts to change easily and takes new experiences in stride...slept next to Cara during his first w/a vacuum! And, smart?? With minimal effort, he learned to sit (and wait!) for treats and his kibble. He is joy wrapped up in a bouncing, leaping ball of fur!

He's my first Standard Poodle but most likely not my last! Thank you, Lisa for raising such a wonderful pup! We're off to Puppy K and more socialization!

Jim and I can't say enough good things about our new Amore Pup, Mickey (Ace). We've never had a puppy so bright, willing to learn and wanting to please. Even amid the usual puppy shenanigans Mickey exhibits a quiet confidence, a centered calmness and poise not usually present in a 15 week old pup. Lisa deserves huge kudos for the work she's done. She's had her hands on these pups from the first day they were born; with careful and thoughtful attention Lisa prepared this litter of pups for their "work" as best friends. Mickey is a shining example of a breeder who is has gone above and beyond ..... to make sure these pups will be exceptional companions as adults. We love our boy, Mickey and feel extremely lucky to have him.

**Mickey was returned due to Chocolate not getting along to well with him, Susan and Jim felt it was the best decision but they were also very sad as they love him very much. He has found another wonderful home!

I have been very happy with the black standard poodle puppy I acquired from Lisa Duvall this past September. She is quite beautiful and healthy but both of these are at a lot of good reputable breeders. What is special about Lisa's puppies are these 3 things.

1. She really knows her puppies personalities and can match them very well with what the buyer is looking for. My Dasi is exactly as Lisa described her. This was so valuable both for the family and the puppy.

2. Dasi, my puppy, was exceptional in her socialization. It was obvious she had many experiences , loved children and was used to cats. What I particularly loved was how she would run to kids when she heard them yet was gentle and obedient to them about not jumping up. Lisa's daughter I am sure had a large part in this

and

3. I loved the way that Lisa kept me informed from when I first discovered her site at 3 weeks to when I picked Dasi up and even after that. The highlight of my day was looking up the pictures and videos and seeing Dasi develop.

I would definitely buy another poodle puppy from Lisa.

Where do I begin? We lost our beloved standard poodle, Dexter, in September. It was an extremely difficult time for our family and we miss him deeply. When I contacted Lisa in November, my family was at the point where we thought we would like to get a puppy in the Spring. That thought went out the window when I met Lisa, Bella (the puppies mom) and of course the puppies. We met the puppies when they were 15 weeks old. Lisa did an absolutely wonderful job with the puppies. All of them were friendly and very well socialized. It was very obvious to me and my husband that Lisa (and her family) put a considerable amount of time and love into all of the puppies. Believe me when I tell you that we had a very difficult time in picking a puppy because every puppy had such a great temperment and personality. In the end we picked Sophie, formerly named Amy. We have enjoyed every minute with her. She is smart, inquisitive, playful, a fast learner (she is the star of an obedience class!) and has developed a good relationship with our two older Havanese dogs. We truly feel lucky to have her as part of our family. Anyone considering a Standard Poodle would be doing themselves a favor by taking the time to get to know Lisa, Bella and her puppies.

I can`t say enough about our new puppy Ace. He is such a gentleman, and yet still a puppy! Lisa did an amazing job raising the pups, and it is evident in their temperament, and appearance! We have two toy poodles, but I always wanted another Standard, like I had growing up. On Christmas Eve, my husband gave me a card with a picture and a letter enclosed. He had surprised me with Ace!!! We picked him up the day after Christmas, and he has fit right into our family ever since.

Ace plays so well with my two year old granddaughter, and our two toy poodles! He is so bright and well socialized. Lisa started working with the pups from birth and it really shows. He listens intently, and has learned some commands. He looks at me like he knows what I`m saying! When I`m home from work, he is my constant companion. Ace has had very few accidents in the house since bringing him home! Lisa had him almost housebroken!!! She has been a terrific support, and is so knowledgeable when it comes to poodle care, and training.

There is no better friend than your dog, and no better breeder than Lisa. A litter like this was well planned. I would recommend one of Lisa's Standards to anyone wanting a companion, and wonderful family dog.

Sincerely,

Here is a testimonial from my husband that I found very touching~
Just a few words from the heart of me, Lisa's husband, Mark.. I guess you could say the grandfather of the litter, LOL.

Bella's first litter has been an educational experience, as well as an emotional roller coaster with the puppies, and their upbringing. Seeing the pups progress, and getting more older, and mature, as well as my own kids is very exciting to me, such is life, we all age in time, and wish we could stop the hands of time from ticking away. I have seen them from their beginning, to their final homes. All of them have been placed with awesome families that were perfectly suited for their personalities. Their whole time living with us has not been easy at all, with me mostly, I can honestly admit! But we all seemed to work together as a happy family. My main reason for this testimonial is to say how impressed I am with my wife, with her first litter of pups. Its always been her dream to breed Bernese Mountain dogs. (If you ever been to our home, you would see what I mean) and in due time, Berner pups will come true, as well as Standard Poodles did. Her knowledge, education, commitment, loyalty, and most of all, her LOVE for these dogs, is above and beyond anyones time and care, I've ever imagined .The funniest thing I have witnessed is her conversation with a vet. When he was listening and asking questions, and she was doing the talking and explaining, LOL. I know there's a lot of love with breeders and their litters. It really does make the difference in a pet from where they came from, and how they were raised. I must say, shame on those so called mill run breeders, that have no compassion, or love, for what they do, cause its all about the money. A lot of things in life are sad, but true. But I’m living proof that Amore, really does mean LOVE here! Hats off to ya honey, your doing an awesome job!!!!

Thanks so much Lisa, Theo (formerly Andy) is a gentle, sweet, stoic, bright, and beautiful puppy. We took Theo at five months, and Lisa had already cared for him physically, nurtured him emotionally, and challenged him mentally. He missed her terribly when he came to us. Theo is fabulous with my three children, including a rambunctious 4-year-old who sometimes pokes, prods, and pulls where she shouldn’t!

I never expected any breeder to be as involved or caring as Lisa is. Before “matching” our family with Theo, Lisa spoke extensively with me, and chose the puppy who would best fit our family. Once we decided we wanted Theo, she allowed us to wait over a month to get him (because of our planned family vacation) and treated him as her own until the day we came for him. During those weeks, she regularly updated our family and sent pictures. When my husband, children, and I picked him up, she gave us a wonderful care package including a video of Theo’s first five months, and it was as if we already knew our dog.

Lisa continues to check on Theo and to share her extensive knowledge with us. As first time dog owners, we have lots of questions, and Lisa always makes us comfortable asking them. She genuinely loves her dogs, cares for her clients, and does everything she can to ensure a wonderful family-pet relationship. Thanks, Lisa, for a fabulous dog and for all your help!
